ok i'm just starting this vid but i'm already rolling on the floor laughing. your hubby, from computer support foreplay to "did you turn it on & turn it off" lolol, totally my experience too. they reel you in, then they leave you gasping on the floor haha!
I’m very much looking forward to the Ozu releases! Until your Substacks of the past few weeks, I didn’t know of him. As to being a book slut... you are not alone. And, of course, a pile of partially read books in no way hinders the purchase of more books.
I keep meaning to write a post entitled "I am not a monogamous reader". I, too, typically have half-a-dozen books that I'm semi-actively reading. I may be precluded from using the term book slut due to my gender.
I see Philip Roth mentioned in the subtitle (but I somehow missed why).
I talk about Philip Roth when I talk about Claire Bloom and the movie I watched (Look Back in Anger) this week that she was in. And how she should have known not to marry Philip Roth! Even though I am a fan of Philip Roth. I'm going to your recommended Philip Roth Everyman post to see what that's about RIGHT NOW. xoxo
Hopefully, you have learned what cardiovascular tests and procedures to avoid from my Everyman post.
BTW, after hearing you rave about The Naked Spur, my wife and I watched it (rented for $3.19 on Amazon Prime Video). Although it gets 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and the cinematography of the Rocky Mountains is marvelous and Jimmy Stewart gives a wonderful performance we ere disappointed. Especially in the ending. Don't those two need money to be happy in their new life? And the guy is dead already. And "beautiful Dreamer"?! Really?! And it is a stretch to think that Jesse would be taken in by the fake gold mine ruse. Also, how do you get so many big rocks to cascade down a cliff all at once?

We’ve gotta get you a cigar to accompany your upcoming studio releases announcements, and maybe a black and white newsreel!
Serves him right for not watching 🤣🤷🏽♀️ That was your best Saturday update yet.
You’re getting more comfortable with these, well done.
I, too am enjoying being a studio on Substack,
I’m starting a personal one to go with my pottery one 😁
Officially launching on Monday (my 54th Birthday 🎂)

Book Sluts United Will Never Be Defeated. Happy Canada Day.
I am a book slut too! Thank you for recommending these books! I can't wait to read some of them!
I mean, what do we need men for anyway? Been doing my own tech support since that first green iMac though.
Julia, longtime fan but new reader/viewer here. You are a treasure. Thank you!!!

As long as you're exploring Canadian desserts, you really need to try butter tarts 🙂 even better - come to Ontario and do a butter tart road trip https://www.readersdigest.ca/travel/canada/butter-tart-trail-ontario/

For the aging, I highly recommend his "Everyman" along with my posts on the cardiovascular adventures the titular Everyman undergoes (https://theskepticalcardiologist.com/2022/03/27/lesson-for-patients-with-cardiovascular-disease-gleaned-from-philip-roths-everyman/)) which ultimately leads to his demise (https://theskepticalcardiologist.com/2022/08/07/a-series-of-unnecessary-cardiovascular-procedures-and-surgeries-culminates-in-the-death-of-philip-roths-everyman-how-you-can-avoid-the-same-fate/)
